Alice Franks
Director of Assisted Living
Alice Franks is Director of Assisted Living at Cantata Adult
Life Services. She joined The British Home 19 years ago as a
Social Service Designee and went on to become their first
Admissions Coordinator. In 2003, she was named Manager of The
Woodlands, the newly opened 73 unit assisted living complex.
Alice oversees day-to-day operations of The Woodlands including
the management of 21 full and part-time team members and is also
Cantata's Campus Safety Committee Chairperson. The Woodlands
is dedicated to Assisted Living exclusively and offers a
comprehensive range of expert Assisted Living services designed to
help residents remain as independent as possible for as long as
possible. Amenities include full dining services,
housekeeping, laundry, transportation assistance and daily life
enrichment opportunities. This past year, Alice oversaw the
implementation of the new Connections Plan, a program designed for
clients who can benefit from highly specific programming throughout
the day to stay engaged with others and the world around them.
"Helping the people I serve at Cantata Adult Life
Services live their best and most fulfilling life while remaining
as independent as possible, gives me my best life," said Alice.
Prior to coming to The British Home, Alice was the first
volunteer coordinator for People Care, a nonprofit organization
that offers friendly visits and transportation to senior
citizens. Alice attended Augustana College and holds a
Medical Records Accreditation and is certified in Dementia
Assessment Care and Management and in Geriatric and
Gerontology.
