Amy Selle, CMP
Manager of Marketing Communications
Amy Selle is Manager of Marketing Communications for Cantata
Adult Life Services.
She is responsible for all marketing, advertising, public
relations, brand alignment, web site and social media efforts for
Cantata.
With over 19 years of marketing and communications experience,
Amy joined The British Home in 2002 as a Sales and Marketing
Specialist and was promoted to Manager of Marketing Communications
in 2010. Previously, she was a Marketing Associate at
Plymouth Place Senior Living. Prior to joining Plymouth
Place, she held positions in several divisions at LaGrange Memorial
Hospital including roles in community relations, physician
relations and medical practice consulting. Amy began her
career as a newspaper reporter and freelance writer, while pursuing
her Master's degree and teaching for the department of
Communication Studies at Northern Illinois University. She is now a
Certified Marketing Specialist (CMP), and teaches Facebook classes
to older adults as part of Cantata's Lifelong Learning
initiative. Amy is also a board member of the Parent-Teacher
League at her children's school, and enjoys spending time with her
young family exploring the many cultural opportunities the Chicago
area has to offer.
"As a former journalist, a writer and a lifelong
student of communication, I've always been passionate about
communicating good news," said Amy. "We hear so much bad news
in the media on a daily basis that sometimes it eclipses all that
we have to celebrate about our lives. At Cantata we are
surrounded by positive stories almost everywhere I look. We
like to say that we are all aging, so get over it. Aging is
not an excuse to stop living life to the fullest. I see
evidence every day that we can make the most of life at every age
and in every circumstance by providing people and their families
with the right support at the right time. I am proud to work
for an organization that understands the importance of community,
innovation, vision and harnessing the power of the team."
Amy earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Media and Organizational
Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism
from Northern Illinois University.
