John Larson
Chief Financial/Operating Officer
John Larson is Chief Financial/Operating Officer for Cantata
Adult Life Services.
He is responsible for all accounting and finance including
refinancing and bond offers at Cantata. John joined The
British Home 20 years ago as an accountant, was promoted to
Director of Accounting several years later and eventually to Chief
Financial Officer. John was named Chief Operating Officer in
2011.
As Chief Financial Officer, John was instrumental in the
addition of The Woodlands assisted living apartments to The British
Home's residential options in 2000. This was a
transformational step for the organization and laid the foundation
for the new strategic vision of Cantata Adult Life Services.
"When I came to The British Home, I was surprised
to find an organization that was not driven by growth or profit,
but by their mission to deliver the highest quality of life to the
people they serve," said John. "This was a wonderful
opportunity to match my skills with their mission. The
financial stability we have achieved over the past two decades has
allowed us to move forward and offer even more life-enhancing
services and opportunities for our clients to live their best
lives."
John's career in finance began as an accounting supervisor at
Old Republic International Corporation. He currently serves
on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of Trinity Risk
Solutions and Abbeyfield Senior Housing. He also serves on
advisory committees for several local community groups. A
licensed Nursing Home Administrator, John was awarded the AAHSA
Leadership Fellow, 2009 - 2010.
John earned a Bachelor's Degree in accounting from University of
Illinois at Chicago.
