Chief Development Officer

Kevin Heraty is Chief Development Officer for Cantata Adult Life Services.  He is responsible for relationship development and communication with Cantata's clients and stakeholders.  He also directs brand messaging, fundraising efforts, and the Lifelong Learning program and oversees the Customer Relations, Marketing, and Volunteer Departments.  In addition, Kevin collaborates with other senior managers and Cantata's Board of Directors on strategic planning, the development of new business initiatives and board development.

Kevin brings 30 years of business experience in commercial and investment banking, accounting, corporate finance and personal financial planning to his current position as Chief Development Officer, to which he was appointed in 2010.  Kevin was a member of The British Home's Board of Directors for six years before his appointment as Director of Development in 2002.

Before joining The British Home, Kevin was an Independent Financial Consultant and Investment Manager.   Previously, he was one of the founding teachers of Perspectives Charter School, one of the first six charter schools established in Illinois.

Kevin has served on the Board of Directors of The Riverside Arts Center, the Kiwanis Club of Brookfield and the School Board of St. Mary's Catholic Grammar School.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and has successfully completed numerous graduate courses in education and social work.

Kevin earned a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from The University of Notre Dame.
