Director of Clinical Outreach & Lead
Hospital Liaison
Mary Allen is Director of Clinical Outreach and Lead Hospital
Liaison at Cantata Adult Life Services. Mary joined The
British Home 16 years ago as a staff nurse. She was promoted
to Case Manager several years later and to her current position in
2010. In this role, Mary works closely with clients, their
families and medical team to determine the best path to recovery
from a health setback. She has built strong relationships
with surrounding hospitals and staff including doctors, social
workers and case managers to ensure they are familiar with
Cantata's life-enhancing services and living options including
British Home Rehabilitation Services and Outpatient Rehabilitation
at the Therapy Center.
"My goal is to compassionately serve all our
clients with respect and dignity," said Mary. "It's about
building relationships - not just with the client, but with their
family, healthcare team and hospital as well. We want to make
sure they have the support and resources they need to live their
best and most fulfilling life."
Before coming to The British Home, Mary was a registered nurse
at Oak Park Hospital and RML Specialty Hospital. She also
worked as a Private Duty Home Nurse for patients on
ventilators. Mary began her career in healthcare at Loyola
University Medical Center in their X-Ray Department. She is a
Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) and has participated in many
continuing education programs.
Mary received her Associate in Science Degree from Morton
College.
