Steve Brennan, NPTI-CPT
Director of Fitness and Wellness
Steve Brennan is Director of of Fitness and Wellness for
Cantata Adult Life Services.
He joined the Leadership Team in July 2011 with nine years
experience in the fitness industry and eight years in the medical
field. Steve manages the recently opened Cantata
Fitness Center, designed especially for adults age 50 and
better.
Steve and his staff of certified personal trainers partner with
members to help them live their best lives. He oversees a
full complement of group fitness classes and services including
pre-surgical conditioning, in home physical fitness, corporate
fitness, rehab fitness and fitness for those with a chronic
condition. He recently teamed with the University of Illinois
at Chicago to offer specialty classes for people suffering from
arthritis.
"Our focus at Cantata Fitness
Services is on healthful aging and building a sense of
community," said Steve. "We offer all our members a personalized
training program not only to improve their overall health, but
their sense of well being."
Certified in personal training and nutrition by the National
Personal Training Institute (NPTI), Steve formerly managed several
personal training studios. Previously, he was employed in the
healthcare field as an Emergency Room Technician (EMT-B) and was a
surgical assistant at both Alexian Brothers Medical Center and
Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He is certified in cardiac rehab,
phlebotomy and intravenous therapy.
