Come learn how to make your home “smarter” and safer as we demonstrate these devices. As we conclude, we will show you our “Smart House” that you can draw inspiration from to modify your own home.

Now that you own an iPad, it’s time to learn the basic functions like setting up your home screen, customizing your applications, backing up information, setting up email and navigating the internet. Please bring your iPad to each class session.

Learn more advanced iPad skills like using Siri and your iPad calendar, plus creating Google accounts and video chatting. Please bring your iPad to each class session.

Maybe you’ve joined the millions who’ve purchased an iPad and now you want to learn how to use it. Or perhaps you haven’t bought one yet, but would like to test drive one first. This two-hour workshop will show you how to navigate an iPad and find the applications best for you. Bring your own iPad if you have one. If not, we’ll supply you with one to try out during class.

With so many online outlets of self –expression from Facebook to Pinterest, there’s a lot to learn and share. Come learn about popular social media sites and what they each represent. You can then decide if a social media account is the right choice for you or improve your current accounts.

The number of people 55+ using Facebook has increased 79 percent in the last two years. You’ll be surprised how many people you know who are using Facebook. Learn how to create a Facebook profile, set and manage privacy settings, connect with other Facebook users and navigate pages. You will also learn how to send private messages to friends and save your favorite Facebook photos. Bring your own device – phone, tablet or lap top – or use a computer here.
