Project Manager - Research & Feasibility Study - Technology Platform >

The goal of the project: Research and determine the feasibility of establishing a technological platform whereby consumers (generally, seneiors and their families) can access and pay for a variety of Cantata and Cantata-collaborator-provided services at the point of service on a coordinated ala carte, packaged, or membership basis.
Start date: June 1, 2013, ideally; must start no later than July 15, 2013. Delivery date of report: 2-3 months after start of engagement, but no later than September 30, 2013.

On-Call Staffing Coordinator - (Work from Home) >

Part-Time, work from home position - after office hours
(5:00pm to 8:00am + weekend rotation)
Must be available to come in to the office for weekly business meetings (1-2 hrs.)

Work as a staffing coordinator to replace staff, when needed. Must be a multi-tasker and have the skills to work with a computer-based scheduling software. Relationship-building along with attention to detail is a must for this position. You will play a key role in providing our customers with efficient, great customer service.
You will be paid flat fee for the evenings and weekends that you work.

General Summary:
In alignment with Cantata’s mission and values, the Central Scheduler On-Call is responsible for ensuring qualified caregivers are scheduled to meet and exceed the needs of healthcare center residents and Cantata at Home (CAH) clients.

Administrative support and scheduling should be in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and facility standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: This description is intended only to identify the basic responsibilities and requirements of this job classification and does not prevent the assignment of other job-related duties.

1. Responsible for ensuring clients’ and residents’ services, needs and care are met by scheduling the appropriate staff as needed.

2. Inputs, confirms and verifies schedules, ensuring all open shifts are staffed.

3. Provides information and assistance to staff as needed in order to provide excellent customer service.

4. Provides daily communication updates to central scheduling office staff about client situations and staff schedules.

5. Provides input and documentation of Cantata at Home employee performance to department management for follow-up. Provides time and attendance documentation to the Chief Nursing Administrator.

6. Attends in-services, meetings, and education training in accordance with CAH ’s policies and procedures.

7. Performs tasks/duties and utilizing forms in accordance with Cantata’s policies and procedures.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Evaluation Criteria

Central Scheduler On-Call


A. Knowledge/Skill/Experience

 High School graduate or equivalent.
 A passion for serving older adults.
 Ability to work harmoniously within a team environment.
 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with a diverse group of people.
 Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
 Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
 Aptitude for detail work.
 At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and other office equipment.
 Must have current driver’s license and auto insurance.
 Must possess a professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.

B. Contact with Others

Extensive contact with customers, employees, and managers on a daily basis. Daily contact with all levels of personnel within the company. Extensive contact with customer’s family members and community contacts.

C. Delegation of Authority

As Central Scheduler you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

D. Responsibility for Confidential Data

Employees are required to safeguard sensitive information. Sensitive information includes, but shall not be limited to, information concerning The British Home’s former and current residents/clients, medical and health information and The British Home’s information systems.

E. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

 Works in office areas.
 Is subject to frequent interruptions.
 Walking and climbing stairs, as required to deliver messages and secure exit doors.
 Minimal lifting of mail/parcels etc.

F. Exposure Classification

 Job duties are classified as Category II (no routine contact with blood, body fluids or tissues).
